Building Resilient Communities

Fostering a Love of Local History
To destroy a culture, you must squash the stories that form it. Manipulate and distort history to make what is left easily deplorable and embarrassing. We find it a cryin' shame that majority of young locals have no idea where they came from or where they're going. To combat the "reimagining" and ignorance of history, we're working on a full docuseries about Elliott County and her people up to modern day (with other counties to come.) Starting with tracking down the first settlers, why they came this way, where they were from originally, and any challenges that have been written down. Bringing those stories to life during festivals and other events will be a hallmark of success for our organization. During History festivals, Lord willing, we'll also engage in teaching people the Art of historical dances and showcase useful skills and trades.

and Equipping aspiring Agrarians.
By sharing favorite resources, attending classes, clubs, and other events, we aim to offer a vast array of expertise from people who have walked this road before you. Follow us on Facebook for up-to-date news about classes and events! To Equip aspiring Agrarians in reaching their goal of community sufficiency. We exist to help our neighbor. When a fellow Elliott Countian wants to start an Ag-based business, we're here to help with making connections, promoting their business on Facebook (with other social platforms to come), and a free place to sell during "Mountain Market Days." We also will visit their place of business to take professional photos and write glowing introductions about their family/ business if they choose. Once they prove they have the chops, we'll also promote their skills in a "Masterclass" people can attend either in-person or sometimes online. Some of these classes can be free if chosen by the instructor. Example, I have a reputable (retired nurse turned) herbalist willing to give free classes this Spring if I can just find a place for us to host classes. Very exciting.
All to the Glory of God.
You don’t have to be a Christian to enjoy our services/ sell at our markets but there will be no proselytizing of other religions tolerated (Masonry included.)
